HOW PROPEL STARTED
Propel Recruitment was founded in 2017 by Nicole Magaddino, CPA, with a clear vision: to build the kind of recruiting firm she believed the market needed, one grounded in business understanding, genuine relationships, and doing what is right for clients and candidates.
Our approach is widely different. After 22+ years in finance and accounting recruiting — and an earlier career at KPMG — Nicole saw the gap. Most firms were transactional. Few took the time to deeply understand either side of the hiring equation. Even fewer focused on placements that would still feel right in three, five, or ten years.
Today, Propel brings together seasoned recruiters who share that philosophy. We specialize in placing operations, accounting, finance, and administrative professionals — from staff accountants to CFOs, from office managers to executive assistants.
